Regina Coeli Campus offers sports for students in grades Pre K - 8th. Listed below are the different sport commissioners, programs & schedules.

Sports commissioners are responsible for the coordination of the individual sports programs. Commissioners work with the coaches on sign-ups, uniforms and equipment, collection of team fees, practice scheduling, conflict resolutions, etc. All commissioners report directly to the Athletic Director. Cross Country

Cross Country is run in the fall. All boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 8th grade are welcome to participate. K-1st grades run 1/2 mile, 2nd - 3rd grades run 3/4 mile, 4th - 6th grades run one mile and 7th - 8th grades run 2 miles. All meets take place at parks located in the Toledo area.


Football

Grades 5th - 8th

Regina Coeli has full contact football available for boys 5th through 8th grades. We are in partnership with neighboring parishes of St. John the Baptist of Point Place and St. Pius X. Together we are the WEST TOLEDO SAINTS. There are 2 levels; the cadet level is for 5th and 6th graders while the junior level is for those in 7th and 8th grades. Practices start the 3rd week of August and continue through October. Practices are held 3-5 days a week. There is a Round Robin exhibition game the weekend after Labor Day followed by a seven week season. Those lucky enough to qualify for the championship game (Toy Bowl) will play the first weekend in November. All regular season games (with one exception) are played at the Monsignor Schmidt Complex on Holland Sylvania Road. The Round Robin and Toy Bowl games are currently being held at Central Catholic High School field. With rare exceptions contests are played on weekends.


Soccer

Grades 3rd - 8th

CYO soccer is divided into two seasons. The fall season starts in September and ends in October with a single elimination tournament. The spring season starts in April and ends with a single elimination tournament in May. There are three grade levels, 3rd and 4th grades, 5th and 6th grades, and 7th and 8th grades. All games are held at the CYO Complex on Holland-Sylvania Roads.


Instructional Soccer

Grades Preschool - 2nd

Instructional soccer is for children in grades Preschool through 2nd grade. The participants are taught the basic skills and rules of soccer. There are two sessions, the fall session takes place in September and October and the spring sessions takes place in April and May. There are two games per week held on our soccer fields during the season.


Volleyball

Grades 5th - 8th

The CYO volleyball season runs from the beginning of September through October ending with a single elimination tournament. We have a team for girls in grades 5th through 8th. There are also leagues for high school students who are members of Regina Coeli Parish. All games are held in school gyms in the Toledo area.


Instructional Volleyball

Grades 3rd - 4th

Instructional volleyball is open to girls in 3rd & 4th grades. Participants are taught the basic skills of volleyball. Practices are held on Sunday afternoons in November and December.


Cheerleading

Grades 5th - 8th

Our cheerleading squads cheer for our fall CYO football teams and winter boys CYO basketball teams. We have squads for 5th - 8th grades and welcome all cheering students, boys or girls.


Basketball

Grades 5th - 8th

The season runs from the beginning of December through February with a single elimination tournament at the end of the season. There is a level for every grade from 5th through 8th for both boys and girls. All games are held in school gyms throughout the city. CYO also offers both a boys and a girls high school league for students who are members of Regina Coeli Parish.


Instructional Basketball

Grades 1st - 4th

This instructional league is held on Sunday afternoons in January and February. It is for children in grades 1st through 4th. The participants are taught the basic skills and rules of basketball combined with playing interleague games.


Baseball

ATTENTION ALL BASEBALL PLAYERS!

We are now referring baseball players grade 3 thru 8 to the Bedford Best Baseball league. Sign ups for the league are to be held the week of February 9, 10, 11, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Bedford High School Main Lobby Bedford, MI. These sign ups are for selection for team rosters (there is no official Regina Coeli team). Games are played at White Park on Douglas Road in Bedford, Michigan. Instructional Baseball

Grades K - 3rd

Instructional baseball is for students in grades kindergarten through 3rd. The participants are taught the basic skills and rules of baseball. Games are held in May and are located at several schools throughout the diocese.


Fast Pitch Softball

Grades 3rd - 8th

CYO Girls Fast Pitch Softball season begins the first week of May and ends in early July with a single elimination tournament. There are three levels, 3rd and 4th grades, 5th and 6th grades, and 7th and 8th grades. All games are held at the CYO Complex on Holland-Sylvania Road.
